The Joys of Married Life Comics - SPRING BREAK EDITION This past week was Spring Break for PANDA. Hubby excitedly took the week off with his dear wife so that they can spend time quality time together. It was a week of rainy weather combined with lots of outtings and mini-excursions we had hoped to do during this time. So you wonder.....what did PANDA do this week? Here it goes....... Monday March 19th 2007 Finally decided to go on our monthly trip to Costco and what did we find there? A Nintendo DS Lite for Hubby......we can battle each other now since the wife got her DS in December. We then proceeded to Rice World where we found Billy Bee BBQ Sauce for chicken wings. This type of sauce is very hard to come by, it is only sold in exclusive stores but it's worth the find because it tastes DELICIOUS! While we were in Richmond, we proceeded to go into a nearby Aquarium on No.3 Road to see if they have turtles. I've always wanted to buy a turtle and we just wanted to see if anyone still sold them because it's very rare to find them nowadays. They had them but right now is not the right time to buy a turtle. Dinner time! on our first night of Spring Break, what should we cook? Oh....why cook. Let's just do take out from The Original Tandoori Kitchen. We ordered there extremely tasty Butter Chicken, Curry Chicken and some Naan Bread. PANDA looked back on the 1st day and saw all that they have done on and said that it was GOOD! Tuesday March 20th 2007 The wife woke up early because she had a date with baby Isabelle and Auntie Kim! We were to spend the day together, have lunch and just us 3 girls hang out. It was so much fun. It really made me realize that being a mom to a 14-month-old baby is not easy. There is so much tender loving care that goes into it. Sometimes Isabelle would be very active and totally keep you on your toes because you don't know what she might do next but those moments where she looks into your eyes it makes it all priceless. I love hearing her say "Hi" Super cute and sweet! Of course, time with Auntie Kim was very good as usual....after a full meal at Red Robin's, Isabelle took a nap and when she woke up we went to the Playground. WHAT FUN! Later, hubby came back from his fabulous haircut, he picked me up and we proceeded to go to Lo-Cost Rent-A-Car to pick up a car to go to the Seattle Premium Outlets the next morning.......We were supposed to get a Toyota Yaris but they upgraded us to a Mazda 3 because the Yaris hadn't come back yet! SWEET!!!!!! PANDA drove home and had a quiet evening at home. PANDA looked back on the 2nd day and saw all that they had done and said it was GOOD! Wednesday March 21st 2007 We were supposed to wake up at around 6:00am to head towards to the border so that we wouldn't have to line wait too long. Of course.....we value our sleep too much and both of us are not morning people. We ended up leaving at around 9:00am. Not too bad......only waited at the Peace Arch border for 30 minutes! The drive down was really smooth and comfortable in the Mazda 3. Panda immediately fell in love with it and we want to return our car to them and take this one the next day. Hahahahaha.......As usual, we found really good deals at the Banana Republic Outlet....hubby bought lots and so did the wife. When we came back, we swung by Bellis Fair to Bath and Body Works........ PANDA looked back on the 3rd day and saw all that they had done and said it was GOOD! Thursday March 22nd 2007 After a very well rested evening we woke up early the next morning and the wife bought 2 games off Craigslist so she had to meet the seller at Richmond Centre and pick up Nintendogs and Pac N' Roll (pacman game) these are for the Nintendo DS Lite. We proceeded to go to Top Gun Restaurant to meet up with my in-laws for DimSum! So yummmmmmmmmy even though we had to wait like 20 minutes for the Egg Tart....it was worth the wait....warm, fresh and smells great! We were sooooo full from DimSum but we also had a lunch date with my sister Jaime. We met up with her at work and went to a cafe called My Big Fat Greek Cafe. We didn't order alot but still ordered a Souvlaki to share. And so....we had to return to Lo-Cost Rent-A-Car and sadly drive in our little Corolla. PANDA looked back on the 4th day and saw all that they had done and said it was GOOD! Friday March 23rd 2007 Hubby had an regular eye check up exam. You can read all about it on forwardengineer site. In a nutshell, he got contacts and it wasn't easy for poor hubby to get them in. PANDA walked around Metrotown and shopped for our HOTPOT meal at home. It was the first time we did HOTPOT at home and it was nice......good sauce, good food, good company. PANDA looked back on the 5th day and saw all that they had done and said it was GOOD! Saturday March 24th 2007 Take-your-husband-to-work day! The hubby came with me to work and waited outside in the waiting room with his books and his brand new Nintendo DS Lite! He waited for about 3 hours and then we went out for lunch and just walking around town. Nothing much. We shopped for our YMCA potluck and finally decided to make our Basil Tomato Pasta to take to the Shum's! It was a night of good night of sharing and deciding what to do in the coming year in our small group. PANDA looked back on the 6th day and saw all that they had done and said it was GOOD! Sunday March 25th 2007 We woke up a little late but still made it to the 11:15am service at Tenth Avenue Alliance. We have been off of Teaching Sunday School this month so we've been visiting 10th. It was a good sermon.....good reminder of how God's Grace saves us from the condemnation of sin. We were going to go home for lunch but decided to do take out from Thai Away Home on Cambie......sooooo yummy. We got Pad Thai, Garlic Flavored Chicken and Broccoli. That was a yummy lunch. Since it was such a beautiful day, we took a nice long 1 HOUR walk around our area and had a good time talking and just enjoying the beautiful scenery and each other. By the seventh day, PANDA had finished all the work we had to do. So on the 7th evening, PANDA rested and didn't cook. We went over to the wife's parents place and had dinner. God Blessed this week and now we go back to work because we have completed all that we need to do.
